We are a Retirement Facility and Adoption Organization that works for the retired racing Greyhound.

We are dedicated to the Greyhound breed and educating the general public about all facets of Greyhound life. We work strictly for the breed and its existence.

Our duty is to provide quality care for the dogs in our facility and place these dogs into loving homes through the adoption process.

Every Greyhound has a unique history, and we provide Personal Pet Portfolios to the new owner with pedigrees, racing information and health information about their pet.

The Greyhound is a beautifully proportioned athlete and to see him in motion is an absolutely awesome sight. They can reach speeds up to 45 miles per hour and can run 5/16's of a mile in an average 31 seconds.

 May 1st we have started Microchipping all our dogs. The cost of the microchip and the registration is included in the adoption fee!

Our adoption fee will remain $275.00

We will be offering 30 day pet insurance beginning June 1st. Every dog adopted after June 1 will go home with a free 30 day gift of pet insurance. Should you choose to keep the insurance, you can tailor it to fit your needs and your budget. You will sign up for it through a button on the PRH site and PRH receives $25.00 for each person who enrolls. If you choose to get pet insurance for any pets you currently own, again, go thru the PRH site and sign up...we get $25.00.

We will also be hosting a microchip clinic. This will be open to the public and we will microchip anything (except your kids)!

The cost of the Microchipping will be $25.00 and the registration is included in that price. A sweet deal you cannot beat! Date TBA

Sponsor a Kennel Kid

For a $25.00 donation you can sponsor one of our retired racing greyhounds waiting for their forever home.  You may pick the hound you would like to sponsor from our "Who's in the kennel" page by using the sponsor me button on the hounds description and photo. You can sponsor as many greyhounds as you wish, and each greyhound may have more than one sponsor. Your donation goes towards their vetting, feeding, and continual care during their stay at PRH.

Now you can help The Animal Rescue Site choose which eligible Petfinder.com animal rescue organizations will receive special funds to help animals! Participating is simple. You can cast one vote every day for your favorite rescue.

Eligible organizations with the most votes could receive a weekly prize and/or one of the other grants below! More than 60 grants will be awarded for a total of $100,000 going to eligible Petfinder.com members by the end of July 2009.

Voting begins on April 13th, 2009, and ends at midnight (PST) on July 26th, 2009. The more friends you can rally to vote for your favorite rescue organization, the better its chances of winning. Get people involved! Your favorite rescue organization is counting on you!

Please keep in mind that PRH does Board Greyhounds only so should you need vacation reservations for your pet while you go away for the Holidays we are here to help!!

We have paired up with Purina Pro Plan's Rally To Rescue program. We are giving awesome folders with coupons, adoption information, food nutrition information and this folder is in addition to the folder PRH supplies with each hound adoption!

We have some really neat stuff to sell, the reflective collar for your dog and bracelet for yourself is an excellent idea for those who walk in the evenings. We have T-shirts and I'm not sure what else!!

They have an awesome new food called "Shredded Blend" It come in Chicken, Beef and maybe even some other flavors. It has become Kane's (The Kennel Couch Cockroach) favorite. he boycotts food but put that shredded chicken in front of him and he eats like a piglet...licks the bowl clean!

Pro Plan has many variety's of foods so if your dog has a sensitive stomach, you can find a food for him! They have some Natural foods as well. I know a lot of people are trying to use as much natural stuff as we can these days.
